The large refectory table in the bright dining room provides the perfect place to spread out and work indoors.
Take it outdoors and write al fresco in the (usually) gentle breeze in the yard accompanied by the lowing of the Charolais cattle.

Go ‘en plein air’ to the Arboretum – a large national park only 5km (3mi) miles away

Buddhist centre of Paldenshangpa / Dashang Kagyu Ling with its Temple of a Thousand Buddhas is in our region, at La Boulaye. It has a range of programs

Christian Ecumenical
The town of Taizé includes a community is made up of over a hundred brothers, Catholics and from various Protestant backgrounds, coming from around thirty nations.
Located just north of Cluny

With churches and cathedrals in almost every town, these provide a place for meditation & prayer and a place to admire the architecture, no matter your faith.
Of particular note
- The church in Trivy (500 metres away) built in the 12th century.
- The remnants of the abbey in Cluny are still very impressive.
- The balisica at Paray le Monial was built as a scale model of the Cluny Abbey and is intact
