Reading / Study / Solitude

Surrounded by rolling hills, farmland and distant forests, Le Champ du Four is ideal as a quiet retreat for reading, writing and research, and for contemplation and meditation

The front lawn shaded by horse chestnut and cherry trees is ideal for reading in the fresh air.

With restaurants within 500 metres and village shops only 3 km (2 mi) away, the cottage is both far enough from interruptions and crowds and close enough for amenities and convenience.

Writing

The large refectory table in the bright dining room provides the perfect place to spread out and work indoors.

Take it outdoors and write al fresco in the (usually) gentle breeze in the yard accompanied by the lowing of the Charolais cattle.

Painting

Go ‘en plein air’ to the Arboretum – a large national park only 5km (3mi) miles away

Explore the local villages and capture the market life, cafe life – and life
